Soldiers from the 7th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Infantry Division, tear down Hitler’s Berghof flag on May 4 1945. Later, this ultimate souvenir would be cut up and divided among the men.

One of only two known fragments of Hitler’s Berghof flag. Staining is likely soot and smoke damage from the April 25 RAF bombing, and subsequent fires started by retreating SS troops.
